About Me

I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I was born and where I grew up. I am a Townie.  My husband and I have an amazing son (10) who loves math and is a great swimmer, baseball, basketball, chess and piano player.  We have three precious dogs.  Khumbu came home with me from Nepal in 2009 and Paquito, perhaps from Mexico, was rescued in 2016 from a shelter in Chicago by Sasha Farm.  Our third dog, 70 lbs, came to us from relatives.  When home with my loving family and animals, I spend time gazing at the wildlife outside the large windows facing our back woods.  When not distracted by squirrels and deer, I strive to type up 30-plus years of handwritten travel journals while also drawing pictures, making earrings and making dinner. In non-pandemic times, I enjoy guiding adventure trips to Nepal and Peru -- and other parts of the world.  I operate a small guesthouse in the Old West Side near downtown Ann Arbor.  My drawings and travel photography, among other things, are part of the Everything's Artwork Gallery there.  Post-pandemic, I look forward to hosting guests and traveling-the-world again.
