The simplicity in my drawings and photos interrupts a busy world in motion. I feel an instinct to capture thoughts, moments, situations, natural scenes and place them on paper. My collection of drawings includes mermaids, ordinary observances and travel highlights. Others are of strangers who challenge me to see more. Most often, I use photography, permanent marker, watercolor and sometimes acrylic, wire, glass, clay, sticks, beads or video to describe what I see. Preserving space-time and nature relaxes my thoughts and unravels complexities. On two, three or more dimensions, I can focus on my experience and document my existence. At least the walls will never be bare.
